Festival information – english version

dear friends,

with great pleasure and pride we can now announce the definite line-up of this year’s

FREAKPARADE FESTIVAL 2009 WÜRZBURG

originally planned as a one-day festival in the wake of the infamous and already legendary  

RIO FESTIVAL IN CARMAUX (fr)

we wanted to catch up on the opportunity to have the great belgian chamberrock-ensemble PRESENT once again in würzburg, and we are almost even more delighted to finally have the delirious japanese ZEUHL-infected jazzrock-RIO ensemble KOENJIHYAKKEI being in europe and taking part in our festival.

but since we also very much wanted to give the 16-people ensemble UNITED COLORS OF SODOM a show, as well as the great italian crew HARMONIA ENSEMBLE (see below) we already thought about doing a two-day-festival.

and since we have been asked by the band to get them a german show, we almost immediately decided to have them for this show exclusively in continental europe:

have joined forces with various british musicians to perform the music of GENTLE GIANT.

after two very successful show in england and sweden they are invited for september to canada and japan. after having returned from there they will be in WÜRZBURG to headline day one of our festival.
